TAG HEUER Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph Pays Tribute to 55th Anniversary

On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the Monaco series, TAG Heuer will launch a new Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph in 2024 as a tribute. Not only that, although the new watch is inspired by the classic chronograph in appearance, it is more advanced in complex watchmaking technology, further broadening the limits of the TAG Heuer Monaco series.

Thanks to the use of lightweight materials such as grade 5 titanium, the TAG HEUER Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph weighs only 85 grams. TAG Heuer has restructured the watch, with the case made of a half-titanium and half-sapphire combination, giving it a unique look.

More importantly, the TAG HEUER Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph is equipped with TAG Heuer's latest TH81-00 mechanical split-second chronograph movement. This movement is made entirely of titanium and was developed jointly by TAG Heuer and Vaucher. It is also one of the lightest automatic chronograph movements in the history of the TAG Heuer brand. This movement can measure two independent time intervals at the same time, and its functional level has significant advantages over conventional chronographs. TAG Heuer said that the TAG HEUER Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph equipped with the TH81-00 movement can be used in multiple sports scenarios including lap timing in racing, and its "unparalleled accuracy and versatility" are its greatest advantages.
