TAG Heuer Tribute to Muhammad Ali Watch

CEO of TAG Heuer and President of the LVMH Watch Division, as well as organizer of this charity event, was one of the highlights of the evening. He met Ali four years ago and was inspired by him and his work, thus all proceeds from the event benefit the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Specifically, a unique commemorative timepiece from TAG Heuer was presented to the Center with a pair of autographed boxing gloves that were auctioned. The gold watch was accompanied by a commemorative medal and a certificate of authenticity, all packaged in a custom studded leather case made in Switzerland. The evening also marked the debut of the Tribute to Muhammad Ali, a collection of special edition steel timepieces inspired by the famous TAG Heuer Ring Master watch currently on display at the TAG Heuer museum in Switzerland. The Ring Master stopwatch, introduced in 1957, featured interchangeable rings of scale for timing various sports with readings down to 1/5th of a second.
The Tribute to Muhammad Ali is powered by the TAG Heuer Caliber 5 automatic movement with date, and the black dial his white numerals and a ring with a scale showing 1 to 15 rounds of boxing.

The caseback of the 43mm timepiece reveals an engraved portrait of Ali with the inscription, “Tribute to Muhammad Ali.” The TAG Heuer logo is at 12 o’clock, and Muhammad Ali’s signature is at 6 o’clock. The strap is perforated black leather with red stitching.
